The Dangers of RGBH Milk ...

**Note added 2/23/05 - and now we have problems with perchlorate (rocket fuel) in breast milk...

It has come to our attention through various means that Milk has become a very bad thing to drink. The FDA approved Monsanto's genetically engineered Recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone (rBGH) to be used on cows to produce 5% to 20% more milk.

Cancer studies regarding the use of rBGH are indicating increased risk for breast, prostate, colon, smooth muscle and other cancers. In fact, pre-menopausal women under the age of 51 are now at SEVEN TIMES THE NORMAL RISK FACTOR FOR BREAST CANCER!

Not only is Monsanto responsible for this, but is also responsible for problems with genetically engineered Soy and Canola seed.

We are providing links to medical studies and developments on the fight to ban rBGH from use.

Please, if you are the least bit concerned, contact the FDA, your congressman, media etc. to help eliminate this poison from our dairy products and beef.

If you are a milk drinker, Organic Valley makes organic milk that is free from rBGH and pesticides. It's more expensive (isn't that silly to have to pay more for something that we ALWAYS had?) but at least it's safe.

Ice Cream lovers can be assured with  Ben & Jerry's  that they do not use milk from rBGH injected cows - it says so in BOLD on the label.

The next article is about how Monsanto has been successful in preventing labeling of milk to let consumers know whether it has rBGH or not!

And this one is about the levels of antibiotics found in milk - partially a result of increased infections in cows who have been administered rBGH.
